GEAR

ENDORSEMENTS

As a freelance and Session Guitarist, great tones are needed to work with. I am proud to have the support and endorsement of the following companies. I use all their gear and I can happily say I am proud to be part of their family as an artist.

GUITARS

I have two electric guitars and an acoustic. My main gigging guitar is a Fender Stratocaster and I also use an Epiphone Les Paul and an Orangewood Oliver Mahogany Acoustic when needed.

The Strat

'The Strat' started out as a Fender 2015 American Special Stratocaster, after breaking the tremolo arm, I swapped it for a Gotoh 510TS-SF2 Tremolo Guitar Bridge, Heavy Steel Block in chrome. Later, I got hooked up by Zexcoil with an HSS set - Bridge: Dual Core TriBucker 1 (DTB1), Middle: Z-Core 5 Vintage Hot (ZVH5) Prototype, and Neck: Z-Core 5 Vintage Underwound 5 (ZVU5) Prototype. According to Dr. Lawing, the balance is a little different and overall, they are just a hair hotter than the production models. The TriBucker has a 3-way selector switch and I turned the second tone knob into a blend knob for more tonal options.

The 'Les Paul'
The Epiphone Les Paul was made in Korea in 2009 and was gifted to me in 2011 by my friend Tony Santi. That was the guitar I cut my teeth on, till I got my Strat in early 2016. I swapped out the tuners for some Grovers and Pickups for some Zexcoil Dual-Core TriBucker 1 (DTB1) with some Push-Pull spots on all the knobs to allow for switching through the tonal options of the TriBuckers pickups.

The Acoustic

My great friend and mentor, Mary Schwartz sent me the Orangewood Oliver Mahogany Acoustic back in April of 2019. I hadn't had an acoustic in a while and really wanted to try the Orangewood guitars because, for their price, it was too good to be true. But frankly, I dig it, with the help of Joel of J.W. Restoration, a Fishman pickup is installed for plugging for big rooms and recordings.

EFFECTS AND PEDALBOARDS

My pedalboards are ever-changing, from experimenting with sounds to setups and trying new pedals. Here are my setups I use based on what my gigs and events require.

On September 7th, 2019, my main gigging board was stolen in Philly. Tim Ward, Jim Martin, and friends from Central Delaware Blues Society, as well as friends and fans from the Delaware Blues and local music scene, came together to help me put together my current main pedalboard. I am forever grateful for their generosity.

AMPS

Currently, my two main amps are the Fender Hot Rod Deville 212 v3 and the Boss Katana 212 MKII; I also use the Strymon Iridium when the situation calls for it. I prefer a clean pedal platform and a modern Fender clean sound. I always prefer using my Deville but for church and small events where I can't be mixed or the Deville is too loud for, the Katana allows me that clean platform and 1/4 line out straight to the house. For even smaller gigs, concerts, or sets, I run the Strymon Iridium straight to the House
