In his early years, Attakorah remembers being involved in his primary school's marching band back in Ghana. This was his earliest drumming and music-related memory. But that journey quickly came to an end after he cut his hand on a drum. Later on in his high school career, Attakorah attempted to extend his musical abilities by joining the school's marching band drumline, but fell through due to family obligations.

Fast forward to the 2019 Pandemic, which brought a need to pivot. With the itch to get behind the kit, the pandemic, and the need to have only essential personnel for various church services, presented the path for Attakorah to start running his home church's AV and livestream, while playing drums when musicians are not available.

After a few years of Attakorah subbing in for missing drummers, he took a gig assisting another church on drums while subbing for his home church. (Clip 1) Music played at these church services included Ghanaian Gospel music as well as popular Christian Contemporary and Gospel music.

In 2023, Attakorah started feeling more confident behind the kit and began posting a few 'feelers out' online - from church clips to home drum videos that he also mixed - in an effort to secure his first official drum gig (outside of church).

On Thursday, August 1, 2024, Attakorah made his debut as a 'Blues Drummer' with the Jimmy Pritchard trio, featuring Zach Lees on guitar, at the Central Delaware Blues Society (CDBS) Jam. (Clip 2) That same year, Attakorah performed with Stu's Plan B, Slim and the Perculators, and Blue Earl Band, establishing him even more in the local blues scene as a 'new drummer'.  That same year, Attakorah's band, The Blues Reincarnation Project (TBRP), qualified to represent the Central Delaware Blues Society (CDBS) in the 2025 International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, TN. Attakorah met Billy 'the Kid' Evanochko during the band's fundraiser while playing drums for Derek 'Harmonica Slim' Matteson.

 

After the Blues Reincarnation Project returned from Memphis, TN, where Attakorah partook in the post competition nightly jams both on Guitar and Drums, he was offered a few dates subbing in for Billy 'The Kid' and the Regulators. (Clip 3) After that mini run, he was offered the gig to play for Billy and the crew when they were in the region. Additional dates followed where Attakorah became a pillar in the Regulators crew! He also established himself even more as a hired gun blues drummer as he continued to gig with Derek 'Harmonica Slim' Matteson, his newly formed 'Slim' and the South Street Hustle, as well as other local and regional bands that needed a drummer.
